money money money, its a rich mans world
im really starting to dig my commerce classes that i have this semester. originally i thought that they would be pretty dry and hard to get through but so far they have kept me awake. im learning things like "if you put $5000 in the bank at 9% compounded semi-annually, how much will you have in 30 years?" or "if you need $60 000 in ten years time to afford grad school, and you can get 12% effective annual rate, how much do you need to put away each month?". dont you all wish that you knew the formulas to quickly plug the numbers into and get the answers!we also learn all about balancing books and income statements and equity and the likes. i cant imagine when i will really use that information but everyone keeps telling me that this minor in business is really applicable to everything. of course.. all this talk about money is just making me wish that i actually had some!

Well, I am glad you are enjoying your classes, and even more glad that I took Nursing and not business stuff, cause that just sounds like jubberish. Nice to hear from you!
i don't know about all this annual rate and compound interest stuff, but when they teach you how to actually GET money... make sure you post! :)
thats easy, just become an IVCF staff worker...
Where can we get 12%... or even 9. I'm in!
