today I read that the Canadian dollar closed at $1.1121 to the US dollar. can't believe that while I've been away it went that high! I think that it was at about 85 cents when I left. I know that it's bad for the Canadian economy for our dollar to be more than the Americans but I can't help but feel a slight amount of pride that they can no longer flaunt in front of our face that their money is worth more; that maybe they will finally have to accept Canadian money in their stores and restaurants like we do American.
so while its bad for trade- I say its great for us! good on ya Canada:)
