melbourne
i made it. my flight was delayed two hours and so I arrived at three in the morning. but i made it.its freezing cold here. as in ten degrees. im having to dig out my sweaters and pants that i havent worn since january when we were in tokyo. but its okay. my mother has reminded me that life is not, in fact, a fashion show and it will be okay if i wear the same thing this entire week im here.
finshing up my diving course was sad. im entirely hooked. i really really cannot describe how much i enjoyed myself. how cool scuba diving really is. we did three more dives on the last day out on the reef. the last of which we were fully certifed for and did on our own without the instructor. super scary at first, but super cool in the end. that is one thing that i am so happy that we commited to doing while here in australia. it was expensive- but entirely worth it.
so i parted ways with my travel companion, kristen. it was an odd goodbye. just a quick hug and best wishes traded. how can you really sum up your gratitude for five months of fun times?
so... i have slept in much too late today. we need to get out and see some of the city! i will write again soon.

Ha! That's great. I see you have picked up some of that dry autrailain wit. /scarcasm.
I'm so excited that you're coming home soon that I might poop in my pants. But don't worry, I'll be sure to do it when you're not around so you don't have to deal with the mess.
